Back To Chaos
No matter how I try to organize everything involving our relocation to Singapore, the resulting physical chaos remains something that can't be helped. Days before we moved to Oakwood I started sorting and organizing small stuff in the house, carefully identifying what will be airshipped and what will be sent by sea. I packed our luggages with necessities to help tide us over the transition, including the items we are taking on our short vacation to the Philippines. I've herded most of them over to Oakwood but somehow the house is still in shambles.A second trip back to our future ex-house helped put a tiny bit of order into our once OC-ly organized home. The sorting boxes are now in their proper places. Items tagged as trash are now out of the house, awaiting rescue by the collectors. Less and less of once useful stuff that are now really nothing but junk still remain, for further sorting (this is actually the most difficult part, because i can see value in everything that has some emotional or sentimental attachment to us).
The scene in our Oakwood residence is nearly as chaotic. The concierge people are evidently perplexed by my continous dumping of what to them might seem odd items. Can't blame them. I've got coffee, sugar and creamer in sandwich baggies; peeled garlic, onions and tomatoes in ziploc containers; half of a watermelon wrapped in plastic food seal; and all sorts of other left-overs at home that we can still definitely use while in Oakwood.
I miss my organized, highly-predictable, days.
